Mary Louise Hancock has advised people all her life, so far. She counsels everyone from interns to President's, they all seek her advice.

They don't just send her a questionaire. They come to her house and sit in her parlor. Governor's have done that as often as twice a day. Her advice is not limited to high officals or candidates. She has helped thousands of young people. She remains a mentor of both women and men of different generations. "If I've got a problem, I call her up and brainstorm, and in five minutes she'll come up with half a dozen solutions." said Julie Eades, one of Hancock's younger freinds. "When I get down, I'll go and see her because she lifts me up," said former House Democratic Leader Mary Chambers.

Some of her "advisees" include:

Gov. Sherman Adams, Gov. John King, Gov. Hugh Gallen, Gov. Jeanne Shaheen, Seantor Tom McIntyre, President Jimmy Carter, President Bill Clinton, Vice President Walter Mondale, Vice President Al Gore ...

John Lynch, Debby Butler, Jean Hennessey, Mary Chambers, Ron Poltak, Peter Piattoni, Tom Duffy, Dennis Murphy, Evelyn Handler, Rep. Susan McLane, Sen. Robert Monier <whether he liked it or not>, Claire Van Ummerson, Gloria Stienem, Sylvia Larsen, Paul McEachern, Bill Humm, Peter Hoffmann, Thomas Masland, Robert Bass, Paul Holloway, Chuck Douglas, Barney Brannen, Martha Fuller Clark, Ricia McMahon, Stephanie Powers, Marian Copenhaver, ...
